These Magical Artists Transform Flowers Into Incredible Artworks

Have you heard of flower art? For thousands of years, flowers have been used in various ways and in different cultures. Flowers serve as a muse to artist, who have been inspired by the various shapes and colors they come in. In whatever situation they are placed in, flowers change the scene, and often leave it more beautiful than it was prior to their arrival.Recently we´ve discovered a new form of art which involves flowers, and it is quite literally flower art. Below are some extraordinary example of artists who have pushed the boundaries, and transformed canvases using only natural elements found in nature.

Flora Forager

Flora Forager, or Bridget Beth Collins, began posting her floral creations on her instagram account, where they gained instant notoriety. She is a botanical artist, and an instagram hit – and we understand why. Her floral pieces are dreamy and whimsical. Each intricate arrangement is highly detailed, and bursts to life with color and texture. While each piece is considered a floral still piece, when you look at them you can feel the movement present in each one. All of her pieces are unique, and paint a very different picture.  You can purchase a print on her website Flora Forager.

I love to adventure into the wildflower woodlands, mossy waterfalls, and grey sand starry expanses of the Pacific Northwest. I forage almost all of my creations from foliage and flowers plucked from our sidewalks, meadows, and woods in our neighborhood.

Sister Golden

Sister Golden was started by mother-daughter duo, Vicki and Brooke. Over the past few years, they have garnered worldwide attention, and what started as a small project has turned into a full time venture. Vicki states on her website that all of her artwork comes straight from mother-nature herself. Her artwork is fun, colorful, and uplifting. She has the ability to create both full landscapes, as well as individual figures. Her work is composed of various elements, such as sand, succulents, flowers, sticks, leaves, and wood. You can find them on Instagram here. Alongside the wonderful artwork, you can always purchase carefully selected art and items from all over the world.

My goal is to create artwork that is colorful and fresh,
and will help define your space.

I am with the City of Newport News and in 2023 we will be having our annual World Arts Celebration. Next year the theme will be living art and I would love for you to come with some of your pieces. Do you travel and if so what is your cost?
